Dog rescued after bound in electrical tape

Posted

Animal cruelty investigators in Windsor are hoping to track down the person responsible for torturing and abandoning a small dog behind a tire store on December 17.

A man who was walking his two dogs found the small dog lying in the grass and contacted police. The dog's muzzle, paws and neck were bound tightly with electrical tape.

He was rushed to a veterinarian for treatment. According to the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society, the dog would have likely died in a matter of hours if he had not been found.

The dog's mouth remains swollen, but veterinarians expect that he will make a full recovery.

They've named him "Justice."

Investigators are asking anyone with information in this case to contact the Humane Society's investigations department at 519-966-5751 at ext. 16 - or Crimestoppers at 519-258-8477.

Donations toward his care can be made here: http://windsorhumane.org/donate-now-2/
