SOUTH LYON (WXYZ) — The South Lyon father who was injured in a December double-shooting that left his 17-year-old son dead has died, relatives confirm.

Family members said Kevin Stamper was taken off life support this week. The 43-year-old was rushed to the hospital after being injured in the Dec. 30 shooting that left his son, 17-year-old Dylan Stamper, dead.

Police say the pair were shot inside their home on East Liberty near Reynold Sweet Parkway.

Fadi Zeineh, 19, and Anthony Marshall Porter, 27, are facing charges in the case.

There hasn't been a homicide in South Lyon in a long time. Ten years ago, there was a murder-suicide, according to police. A child was murdered in 2007.

A GoFundMe has been launched to help the Stamper family with funeral expenses. Click here to learn more.
