Southbound I-75 at Eureka reopens following crash caused by 'icy conditions'

All lanes back open on southbound I-75 at Eureka following crash.

12:24 p.m.

MDOT confirms the incident was a three-car crash involving a semi leaking diesel fuel. Spokesperson says icy roads, bridges, ramps and overpasses are the biggest problem drivers are currently facing and maintains that icy roads caused the crash.

Cleanup is expected to be complete in the next hour.

No word on injuries.

Only the left lanes is now open on southbound I-75 at Eureka.

10:30 a.m.

Southbound I-75 at Eureka in Wayne County is closed Saturday morning due to a high-impact crash.

An MDOT spokesperson says the crash happened as a result of "bad icy conditions" and more details will be released shortly.

Right now, there is no estimation to when the freeway will reopen.
