SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Life and death. Two topics, you can not run from.
So, some finance folks in Southfield developed a program that determines how long you may live and how much money you need to start saving, now.
It’s called The Genivity Halo Assessment.
It’s goal is to help determine how long you may live and how much money you'll need, to live the life you wish. The test uses your genetic make-up, health and lifestyle questions, your family and your own medical history.
“What we'll do is then, take a look at the answers you have given to us. We run it through the software and we come up with, not only what we think is your mortality and what your longevity is, we're also going to predict, how long you're going to live in retirement”, says Lyle Wolberg, partner with Telemus Capital.
It also assesses, if you will need long-term care or assisted living. Both of which can be very expensive, so planning is important.
