Southfield police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident on 8 Mile just east of Evergreen.
We're told officers were called to the scene around 3 a.m. and found the body of a woman in the roadway.
They are still searching for the car involved.
Sources say police don't have a vehicle description yet, but are looking for a car with heavy front-end damage.
