Southfield Police confirm they're investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian incident that occurred shortly before 3 a.m. today.
Police say a vehicle traveling westbound on W. Eight Mile Road struck a man who was crossing the street, then proceeded to flee from the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in temporary serious condition.
The suspect vehicle and driver were located a short time later and the driver was arrested and conveyed to a local hospital for a blood draw.
