The finals of the Scripps National Spelling Bee got underway at 10 a.m. Thursday with 45 remaining spellers. While most of the finalists were from the United States, there were also spellers from South Korea and Ghana participating in this year's Bee.
The title ended up going to co-champs Nihar Janga, a fifth-grader, and seventh-grader Jairam Hathwar.
