(WXYZ) — State Rep. Cynthia A. Johnson received racist & threatening voicemails, and she shared them in posts on Facebook.

Johnson, from Detroit, is the Democratic chair of Michigan's House Oversight Committee, which heard unproven claims of voter fraud last week.

The voicemail contains racist threats, with the person on the other end of the phone shouting baseless claims that the election was stolen.

"Honey, how dare you bully witnesses on the stand. Your name and phone number are out there now," the person on the phone said. "You should be swinging from a f***ing rope you Democrat."

That person shouting baseless claims that the election was stolen. It wasn't.

"Dems are going down, especially big-lip n****** like you," the person continued.

Johnson posted the audio on Facebook saying, "Wow! Listen to this coward!!" The audio is below. Caution, it does use racist language.

She also shared out photos showing what she said is a sampling of the phone calls she's gotten since the hearing.

"I just want all these people to know I’m not changing my number. And with technology you know I share!" she wrote.

Last week, Johnson heard the unproven claims of voter fraud from President Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and his witnesses.

During the hearing, Giuliani and the witnesses gave unverified and false claims regarding election fraud in the city of Detroit.

These claims have not been proven —U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr, a member of the Trump administration, said this week that the DOJ uncovered no evidence of widespread fraud that would change the election results.

Several witnesses claimed they saw irregularities and fraud while working at the TCF Center during the election. There is no evidence that proves those claims, and judges have ruled against lawsuits that argued the same claims brought in front of the committee.

Giuliani also claimed, as he has for weeks, that thousands of votes were cast illegally. There is no evidence of that.

Michigan has certified the results of the November election, with President-Elect Joe Biden winning by more than 150,000 votes.
