Stephen Colbert skewered Kid Rock Wednesday night on The Late Show for his new line of grills and possible political ambitions.
The Michigan-native launched the “American badass grill” with a pretty funny promotional video that included big guns and fake explosions.
And last month, WXYZ reportedthe singer’s name was floated as a possible GOP candidate for Michigan Senate.
So naturally, Colbert had a little fun with that one. He even brought out Shriekin’ Joe the Saginaw Psychopath, a made-up character that’s also from Michigan and a hard rocker.
Shriekin’ Joe the Saginaw Psychopath said he too wanted to join the race for senate.
His slogan: “Vote for me. I love Michigan. Kiss my lower peninsula.”
