Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of the long-running Nickelodeon show 'Spongebob Squarepants," has died.
Hillenburg died at the age of 57 from ALS, which he was diagnosed with in March 2017, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Nickelodeon paid tribute to him in a tweet, saying it will observe a moment of silence to honor him and his work.
