(WXYZ) — Hundreds of people took steps Sunday to help fight hunger and homelessness right here in metro Detroit.
They combined their passion for fitness and their desire to make a positive difference in the community at the inaugural Steps for Hope walk and run.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help Lighthouse purchase food and expand services for the homeless. The organizations operates pantries in Clarkston and Pontiac, and serves roughly 700 families each month.
