STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Target in Sterling Heights on Van Dyke Avenue is set to close permanently, according to a notice filed with the state of Michigan on Tuesday.

The closure will affect 136 employees, some of whom will be able to transfer or receive separation pay. Terminations will happen on June 1 for the team members who choose not to transfer or are not eligible for transfer, according to the state document.

Those employees who are affected are not represented by a union.

The Target store is located at 35700 Van Dyke Ave.
