ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — Hundreds are rallying in Ann Arbor Tuesday, on the University of Michigan campus. They're protesting against abortion bans across the United States.
Speakers from Planned Parenthood took to the stage, as supporters and counter, pro-life, protesters lined the perimeter of the rally.
Campus police are allowing both sides to be in attendance. This rally marks the National Day of Action for Reproductive Freedom. Planned Parenthood says this is in response to anti-abortion laws being passed in states like Missouri, Georgia, Ohio and Alabama.
They say they can't allow Michigan to be next.
The rally will go on until 6:30 p.m
A counter-protest is also taking place on @UMich campus. Both groups are mixed together. #StopTheBans pic.twitter.com/2eaXEMmC44
