Stores preparing for release of Nintendo Switch

Video gamers are counting down the hours for when they can get their hands on the hottest gaming system.

Nintendo is coming out with a new gaming system called Switch. It's the latest console, since the 2012 debut of Wii U.

"Nintendo is always a hot item," Matthew Jackson, a tech expert with Walmart said.

Some stores like Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop are selling the Nintendo Switch starting at midnight.

What makes this gaming system unique, it combines a hand-held with a home console.

"Start off playing at home, decide to leave and walk away, go anywhere. Bring it to work, take it on the bus."

The Nintendo Switch is selling for $299 and you can choose from gray controllers or a blue and red combination.

What many gamers enjoy about Nintendo, the systems may change, but they still offer some of the classics like Zelda. And don't forget the accessories.

"There is a pro controller, which is a more standardized controller. Most people will be comfortable with and there is a charging base."

If you don't get it tonight, you could be waiting days or weeks for stores to restock.
