Tonight, students will gather to mourn the loss of a 15-year-old basketball player who died during try-outs earlier this week.
Xavier Carter was trying out for the Lincoln Park basketball team on Monday night when he suffered a heart attack.
Friends say Carter was full of life.
"They're taking it pretty hard, everybody here loved Xavier,” said friend and fellow student, Alma Martinez.
There are plans for a candlelight vigil at Lincoln Park High School tonight at 7:30 p.m.
