Detroit ranks in the top 4 percent of cities with the least credit card debt, according to a study from WalletHub.
The study found that consumers racked up $16 billion in credit card debt from June through September.
Detroit ranked in the third percentile for median credit card balance and cost of interest until payoff and in the fourth percentile for expected payoff timeframe.
WalletHub projects that we will end 2018 with $70 billion more in credit card debt than we started with.
