(WXYZ) — A new study from United Van Lines found that more people moved from Michigan than moved into Michigan last year, and that the Mitten State ranked 10th on the list of Most Moved from States in 2018.

According to the National Movers Study, which tracks customers' state-to-state migration patterns, Michigan is new to the top 10 list of moving out with 55 percent. They were joined by other Midwest states like Ohio, ranked sixth, Illinois, ranked second, and Iowa, ranked eighth.

Michigan had 4,223 shipments from United Van Lines last year, according to information from the company. Of those, 2,322 were from Michigan while 1,901 were to Michigan.

The study found that Vermont was the top inbound state, followed by Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and Arizona.

New Jersey was the top outbound state, according to the study.
