WalletHub looked at a number of metrics from restaurant meal costs to number of jewelry stores per capita to the number of available activities.
Our worst category ranking was Valentine's Day Budget. That category included wine prices and salon costs —among other things. WalletHub notes in its analysis that the cost metrics were adjusted by the median household income of the city.
Beating us out for absolute worst city for Valentine's Day is Hialeah, Florida. The best place to spend the holiday, according to WalletHub: San Francisco, California.
