INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a homicide involving a teen shot in the head in Inskter Friday night.
On Aug. 21 around 10:35 p.m., Inkster police and MSP detectives responded to the Dearborn View Apartments for a report of a 14-year-old male who was shot in the head.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a group of juveniles were hanging out at the apartment, while the mother of one of the juveniles was sleeping, according to police.

A handgun was brought out at some point and and witness statements allege that a 14-year-old male suspect shot the victim in the head, police say.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is currently in custody.
Detectives are continuing their investigation.
