DETROIT (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting on a southbound I-75 ramp in Detroit.
On Jan. 31, troopers were dispatched to a ramp to westbound Davison for a driver and his passenger stating they were shot on the freeway.
Troopers on scene confirmed that two victims were shot and their vehicle was damaged from bullets. Police say the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital.
During the investigation, Detroit Police had a male suspect call reporting that someone pointed a gun at him on the freeway causing him to fire his weapon.
The suspect was identified and has been arrested. Police say the shooting was over a prior altercation and ongoing argument between the victims and suspect.
