Herman "Rocky" Walters, 31, was killed on Detroit's west side. Police said the driver, believed to Daniel Cook, allegedly struck Rocky, who was on his motorcycle, dragged him and then took off.
Cook was arrested in Battle Creek. A $2,500 reward was offered for information leading to his arrest.
Walters' mother Juliana Baughman previously told 7 Action News that since his death, she’s been reminded in more ways than one of the lives Rocky touched.
“I would love to meet the people that received the gift of my son. I would love to be able to see who has his eyes. They could see me, see whose life is still here because he’s not," Baughman told 7 Action News.
Cook is expected to be arraigned Wednesday morning and could face murder charges.
