A suspect in an officer-involved shooting Wednesday evening has died, according to Detroit police chief James Craig.
The shooting occurred in the 14900 block of Tireman near Greenfield around 8 p.m.
Detroit police were responding to a call of felonious assault involving a 26-year-old and 55-year-old. According to reports, the suspect had a gun and was threatening to shoot at the scene.
When officers arrived, they said it appeared the suspect was reaching for a gun, and that's when he was shot by officers. A gun was recovered from the scene.
