Suspect in deadly Meijer stabbing given $10 million bond

ADRIAN, Mich. (WXYZ) — The suspect in a deadly stabbing incident at a Meijer store in Adrian has been given a $10 million bond.

Alarik John Guajardo, 29, allegedly stabbed an 85-year-old man to death at the store Wednesday afternoon.

Guajardo was arrested after a CPL holder intervened and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Police say the victim was stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was a resident of Lenawee County.

Guajardo was charged with the following felonies: Open murder, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon with unlawful intent.
