SUMPTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The suspect in the murders of four people in Sumpter Twp. is now facing charges.
Man wanted in quadruple homicide in Sumpter Township turns himself in
Raymond Lee Bailey, 37, of Kinross, has been charged in connection with four murders on Aug. 15 in Sumpter Township.
Prosecutors say that police arrived to a home and saw four deceased people who were shot with a handgun. They have been identified as 35-year-old Laura Tanner, her sister Sarah Tanner, 38, along with 28-year-old Forrest Sampson and 30-year-old Neal Sampson.
Tanner was allegedly having ongoing problems with her ex-boyfriend, Bailey.
On Aug. 16, Bailey turned himself in at the Bay County Sheriff's Department and was taken into custody.
“The allegations in this case are the quintessential example of domestic victimology," Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said. "As a result, four people are now tragically deceased. Bailey has been charged with four counts of First Degree Murder and four counts of Felony Firearm.
