Suspect wanted for 'deliberately' running over man after 'verbal altercation' at Detroit restaurant

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police need your help finding a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened on the city’s west side.

On Sept. 11 around 3:25 a.m. in the 8000 block of W. 8 Mile, a 58-year-old male victim was hit by a dark-colored 2015 or 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck as he exited the front door of a restaurant, according to police.

It was reported that the victim and the suspect got into a verbal altercation while inside of the restaurant.

As the 58-year-old victim exited the restaurant, the driver of the Ford F-150 deliberately collided with the victim, and then sped off eastbound on 8 Mile.

DPD released this suspect description:

Suspect Description: black male, mid 40’s, light complex, 6 feet 4 inches, 400 lbs.
Last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts, driving a 2015/2016 Ford F150.
