Suspect wanted for using liquid substance to damage cars on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a suspect who allegedly threw a liquid substance on a vehicle, causing the paint to peel.

This incident happened Tuesday, July 23 at 12:42 p.m.

According to a release, the suspect, a white man believed to be between 60 and 70 years old, was walking in the 1000 block of Rivard when passed a parked vehicle and threw the substance on the hood of the car.

Police say the man may have done this to several other vehicles in the same area.

The suspect is wanted for malicious destruction of property. He's described as slim build with silver hair. He was last seen wearing black jogging pants, a gray hooded sweater and black flip flops.
