DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a suspect in a Dec. 13 fatal shooting of a 19-year-old on the city's east side following an altercation at a party store.
The shooting happened around 7 :13 p.m. in the 2200 block of Lafayette. Police say the victim was inside of a party store on Chene when a verbal altercation occurred between he and an unknown suspect.
When the victim and his family members left the location on foot, police say the suspect chased them down and began firing shots, hitting the 19-year-old multiple times.
The teen was then taken to a local hospital by ambulance where he died.
Now police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect with the help of surveillance images.
