Suspect wanted in hit-and-run death of 17-year-old in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police need help identifying the driver wanted as a person of interest in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 17-year-old on the city's west side.

On Saturday, March 9 around 10:10 p.m., a 17-year-old victim tried to cross the street when he was hit by two vehicles. Police say the person of interest, captured in the surveillance video, was in the area at the time of the incident.

The vehicle was seen driving northbound of Gratiot, making a U-turn then continuing southbound on Gratiot, police say.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
