The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating after an 87-year-old man was attacked during a home invasion on Wednesday in Mt. Clemens.

Deputies say the 87-year-old homeowner reported that on Tuesday, a man came to his house to talk to him about trimming trees on his property. The victim declined the services.

On Wednesday, authorities say the same man arrived at the house again around 2 p.m. and started a conversation with the owner. They then got into an altercation and the man pulled the screen door open and pushed the homeowner to the floor.

Deputies say that's when a second man entered the house and went straight to the bedroom.

The suspects reportedly asked the homeowner: "Where is your money, diamonds and gold? We are looking for money and drugs."

We're told the home invasion went on for about 20 minutes and the suspects left. The victim told deputies that he did not know how much cash was taken.

The suspects are described as white males around 30-35 years old. One suspect was described as having "olive" skin--and was about 6'0" with a medium build. He was reportedly wearing all dark clothing and was clean shaven. The other suspect was described as 5'9" with a medium build. He had dark hair and was wearing tan pants at the time of the crime.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Macomb County Sheriff's Office at 586-307-9412.
