DETROIT (WXYZ) — Two suspects were caught on camera trying to remove a very large safe from a pharmacy in Detroit. The entire time, the store's alarm was going off.

Video was captured of the incident, which happened Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 on the 8300 block of E. Jefferson in Detroit. The attempted theft happened just after 2:30 a.m.

The two suspects entered the pharmacy by breaking out the front window, police say. Once inside, the two tried removing a large safe. While doing so, you can hear the store's alarm going off the whole time.

It's unclear if the suspects were successful in their attempt. A second video obtained by police shows one of the suspects leaving the store with what appears to be a dolly for moving. The store's alarm is still activated at this time.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and no further descriptions were immediately made available.
