TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman and her friend say they were brutally attacked outside of a Taylor bar all because she turned down a man who was making aggressive advances toward her.

Holding her arm closely and with bruises on her face, Lindsay Rogers recounted the attack over the weekend outside of Big League Brews.

Rogers said she was outside waiting for her friend Curtis Ramsey to pick her up when a man started harassing her, along with two other men. As Rogers and Ramsey tried to walk to their car, they say the men were making derogatory remarks and were trying to get Rogers to get in the car with them.

Then came the attack. The first punch landed on Rogers. The men quickly turned to Ramsey and stomped on his leg.

“I faced the ground most of the time as they were hitting me in the back of the head and kicking me and stomping on my ankle,” he said.

Rogers said she feared if Ramsey were not with her that night, it could have been far worse for her.

The Taylor police said they have identified a suspect in the assault, but no arrests have been made.
