DETROIT (WXYZ) — TEDxDetroit is returning once again in 2020 with a larger venue. The annual event will take place at Ford Field on Sept. 30.

Organizers of the event say the move to a much larger location will be bigger than before for its 12th year. Last year, it was held at the Masonic Temple and other locations in the past include the DIA and the Fox Theatre.

“Innovation and great people are the foundation for both TEDxDetroit and United Shore,” said Mat Ishbia, president and CEO of United Shore. “We are proud to be a big part of this conference and bring people together who believe that great ideas can propel business forward.” United Shore is a new presenting spnosor of the event.

"The 2020 TEDxDetroit event will be our biggest, brightest and best yet," Producer Terry Bean, producer. “We wanted a venue partner where the true inspiration that is TEDxDetroit would be felt immediately upon entering.”

Organizers say that this year's event will have more space to highlight TEDxDetroit talks, as well as live entertainment and interactive labs throughout the day.

“We are getting an early start on this year's program so we can deliver the best event yet,” Bean said. “It's a really high bar and our amazing team is totally up to the challenge.”

Tickets are on sale for the day-long conference, and they often sell out every year. You can purchase early bird tickets for $75 for a limited time by clicking here.
