SANILAC COUNTY (WXYZ) — Students at Carsonville Port Sanilac High School were evacuated Thursday morning after a bomb threat was found inside the boys restroom around 8 a.m.
Deputies from the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office had the building evacuated and students were sent to the elementary school as the sheriff's office explosives detection K9 searched the building. No bombs were found, according to the department.
Staff and students at the school led investigators to a 17-year-old male suspect, who was interviewed and then released.
Further investigation and the processing of evidence is underway, as charges are expected to be filed against the teen.
No injuries were reported.
