Teen shot in leg outside roller rink on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects involved in a non-fatal drive-by shooting on Detroit's west side.

The shooting happened at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 outside of a skating rink in the 16600 block of Schoolcraft.

Officers say the victim, a 17-year-old male, exited the rink and the suspect or suspects drove upand starting firing from the driver's side of an unknown grey vehicle. The teen was hit in his lower leg and taken to a hospital. The victim is currently listed in temporary serious condition.

This is an ongoing investigation. No further details were released on the suspect's vehicle.
