Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield is housing 30 homeless men, women and children for a week.

The people are part of the South Oakland Shelter, which is based in Southfield. They will eat and sleep at the temple's "At The Corners" building on Walnut Lake Road.

Each morning, they will head out to their jobs or go to school.  Temple Shir Shalom has more than 60 volunteers to help around the clock.  They will prepare meals and provide on site supervision throughout the night.

Congregates will pick up cots and bedding the week prior.  It starts Sunday, December 11 and runs through Sunday, December 18.

Temple Shir Shalom: At The Corners is located at 2075 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.
