Electric car maker Tesla is plugging into Michigan. The company is opening its first standalone gallery in the state.
The gallery is opening this morning at 10 a.m. at the Somerset Collection in Troy.
Tesla says it's not just a showroom. It will also offer educational displays in addition to vehicles like the Tesla Model S and Model X SUV.
"The location will serve the increased interest in sustainable energy and electric vehicles in the area as Tesla responds to consumer demand from Michigan residents who would like more access to Tesla products," read a news release from the automaker.
