The Community House in Birmingham will host its second annual 'SIP' event this weekend.

The event is a signature fundraiser for the local non-profit, which has been serving the Detroit area for the past 94 years.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, chefs from the area's most popular restaurants will gather at the Community House in Birmingham to marry food and wine that will maximize flavor.

SIP will showcase small plate stations from Joe Muer Seafood, The Stand, Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, Tallulah, Prime 29, Eddie Merlot's, Roast, Bistro 82 and The Community House itself!

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a private cocktail and hors d'oeurve reception for guests.  Then at 6:30, doors open for general admission ticket holders.

After dinner and drinks, the party will continue with a "Wine-Down" from 10 p.m. until midnight.  There will be late night bites, dancing and ZIM's Vodka signature cocktails.

New to this years event, The Community House is starting a beverage scholarship fund, where the money will cover fees for the Introductory Course or Certified Examination administered by the Court of Master Sommeliers Americas.
