These are some of the hottest toys for the 2020 holiday season

(WXYZ) — There's no denying the much-anticipated Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X are selling out like nobody's business, but what are the other hottest toys of the season? We went searching in metro Detroit.

Both Toyology and Whistle Stop Hobby and Toys have websites if you want to order online, and they also offer curbside pickup and some Black Friday deals.

Julie Everitt from Whistle Stop said one of the hottest toys is the Playfoam Pals Snowy Friends. It comes in a six-pack for $22.99 from Education Insights and is a great toy for kids 5 and up. The squishy play foam's inside a mystery pod with a surprise.

There are 12 snowy friends, including the rare snowman named Sven.

Next, the Botley Robot 2.0, for kids five and up.

“This is a great coding robot that the kids love because not only do they get a little pet to hang out with them during the day, but they can train him to do different obstacles through coding," Julie said.

It sells for $69.99 from Learning Resources.

And for the older child who may be hard to buy for, the Shashibo Chaos Magnetic Puzzle Cube by Fun in Motion Toys for $19.99.

“This is so much fun, so different. It’s almost like a Rubik’s Cube but it has earth magnets inside of it," Julie said.

The shape-shifting box morphs into 70 different possibilities for kids 8 and up.

Over at Toyology, we hit the floor with Jenna Klar and her son, Ezra, with the Floor Floaties by Good Banana for $99.99.

"It’s so great. It’s huge. It’s great for virtual learning, to chill on. It comes in different designs," Jenna said.

The inflatable plush toy with couch-like comfort is cool for any playroom or lounge area. It includes a high-intensity air pump for fast inflation and comes with over-the-top designs.

Next, the Airfort. It's parachute material and inflates in less than 30 seconds with any standard box fan. it's durable and 6 1/12 feet in diameter and over four feet tall. It's perfect for sleepovers, parties or playdates. It comes in a variety of colors for $49.99 or $59.99 for glow-in-the-dark version.

Finally, there are Kablocks Blast from Mindware. It features 22 lightweight foam blocks of various sizes, colors, and shapes, plus a building platform with an easy-to-smash stomp lever to launch the blocks into the air. It's $39.99 for ages 3 and up.
