These are the airlines offering travel waivers ahead of Hurricane Dorian

(WXYZ) — Hurricane Dorian is heading toward Florida and could make landfall late this weekend or early Labor Day as a Category 4 storm. Ahead of the hurricane, several airlines are offering travel waivers for those planning to fly in the path of the storm.

American Airlines

Change fee may be waived if you are traveling on an AA flight and bought your ticket by Aug. 29 and scheduled to travel between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4, and can travel Aug. 29-Sept. 11 and don't change you origin or destination city.

You can delay your trip if you bought your ticket by August 29, 2019, are scheduled to travel August 29 - September 4, 2019, can travel August 29, 2019 and up to 331 days after your original ticket date, book by Sept. 4, 2019 and completed within 1 year of your original ticket date.

If you’re unable to reschedule your trip you can cancel it and apply any unused value toward the purchase of a new ticket within 1 year of the original ticket date. Normal fare rules apply. These changes can’t be made online – you must contact Reservations

Delta Air Lines

Impacted travel is from Sept. 1-4 and the ticket must be reissued on or before Sept. 10, 2019 with rebooked travel beginning no later than Sept. 10, 2019.

Frontier Air Lines

Customers who are traveling between Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 who bought tickets on or before Aug. 28 may make one itinerary change. Travel must be completed no later than Friday, Sept. 27, and origin and destination cities may be changed. Customers whose flights are canceled may request a refund.

JetBlue

JetBlue will waive change/cancel fees for flights to and from the airports above.

Customers may rebook flights for travel through Sept. 10. Those with canceled flights can opt for a refund. Original travel must be booked on or before Aug. 29.

Southwest Airlines

People who have flights to, from or through the cities above may rebook in the original class of service or travel standby within 14 days o their original date of travel between the original city-pairs.

Change fee and fare difference waived through Sept. 18, 2019 for travel booked between Aug. 31 and Sept. 3.

After this date, the modification charge will be waived but a fare difference may apply.

United Airlines

Affected original travel dates from Aug. 29 through Sept. 4. The change fee and fare difference will be wived for new flights departing Aug. 29 and Sept. 11 as long as travel is rescheduled in the original fare class and between the same cities.

For wholly rescheduled travel after Sept. 11, a chante in departure or destination city, the change fee will be waived but a fare difference will apply. Rescheduled travel must be completed within one year from the date when the ticket was issued.
