INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — Inkster police are looking for hair thieves who broke into a beauty supply store. Surveillance video catches two crooks breaking into the Inkster store.

It happened early Monday around 5 a.m. at MJ Beauty Supply near Michigan Avenue and Inkster Road.

“They knew what they were doing, they were in and out less than two minutes,” said Co-owner Anton Lao.

The thieves appear to be men using trash bags to cover their faces. They broke into the store using a rock. They first threw it at the front door, but it didn’t shatter.

They broke the window next to it and unlocked the door.

You can see in the surveillance video the thieves went right to the wall of hair extensions and they didn’t pick any random brand they picked the most expensive hair.

Lao said they took the “expensive hairs.”

The two ran off with $6,000 worth of extensions.

“I’m pretty sure they are going to sell it,” Lao said.

The police arrived at the scene less than a minute after they took off.

Lao has owned the shop for the three years and this is their first break-in. But he is confident the two crooks won’t get away with this.

“Police will be catching you someday,” Lao said.
