Baseball season officially begins for the Detroit Tigers today as they face the White Sox in Chicago for the season opener.
Justin Verlander is pitching today which most fans would probably agree is a good move. But, he and Miggy and the gang have been together for years now with no World Series rings -- and last year, they didn't even make the playoffs.

They've been preparing in Florida to turn things around. As the second highest paid team in the league, the Detroit Tigers have a lot to prove or risk losing some top players who may not stick around if the team doesn't play in the post season.
Home openers in Detroit are usually great for team morale and a lot of fun for fans. Tickets usually sell out minutes after they go on sale, but this year, Friday's home opener against Boston still has not sold out.
