DETROIT (WXYZ) — What's the best bank in Detroit?
J.D. Power released their 2019 U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction study measuring customer satisfaction with retail banks. Their research was based on responses from more than 84,000 retail banking customers of 200 of the largest banks in the United States.
So how do Detroit banks rank? These were J.D. Power's overall customer satisfaction scores on a 1,000-point scale for the area's largest retail banks by market share:
- Chase (26.87% market share): J.D. Power Score – 836
- Comerica (20.42% market share): J.D. Power Score – 787
- Bank of America (12.95% market share): J.D. Power Score – 798
- PNC (8.64% market share): J.D. Power Score – 821
- Huntington (5.80% market share): J.D. Power Score – 840
Note: The biggest banks in terms of market share are not the top performers when it comes to customer satisfaction.
