The next phase in the massive I-75 overhaul kicked off Tuesday.
The 16-year project will modernize 18 miles of I-75 and reconstruct 47 bridges.
The northbound and southbound lanes of I-75 between Coolidge and Squirrel were down to one lane, but MDOT reports two lanes are now back open in both directions.
