Trailer recovered from stolen traveling memorial for Vietnam vets, truck still missing

CLINTON TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) — UPDATE: According to Steve Bago, president of Chapter 154 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the stolen trailer has been recovered with all memorial items and books inside. There were some items taken from the trailer, like a microwave, which the president says is replaceable. The truck is still missing.

Clinton Township police are investigating after the truck and trailer for a Vietnam traveling memorial were stolen.

The traveling memorial was stolen from the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 154, located on 15 Mile Road and Little Mack. The truck and trailer were stolen on Christmas Day. Inside were items such as a custom made wall, merchandise, and biography books that corresponded with the names of each veteran.
