The man was located in a heavily wooded area covered in waist deep snow, officials said. He had been traveling alone when his injury occurred.

We're told a group of snowmobilers found the man and traveled to a nearby lodge to call police. Several others built a fire to keep the man warm.

The man was transported to Sault Ste. Marie Airport in Ontario where an ambulance took him to a hospital. The man's condition is unknown at this time.
