Testimony began Monday in the Kajavia Globe murder case.

Prosecutors say Maxwell Brack, Kajavia’s ex-boyfriend, killed the 24-year-old and dumped her body in a wheeled dumpster in December.

Kajavia’s family reported her missing in December and after two days of frantic searches, she was found.

Brack was reportedly caught on surveillance video wearing a mask and withdrawing money from Kajavia’s bank account.

During the lengthy preliminary hearing in February, we heard the haunting details of how it’s believed the 24-year-old was killed. The medical examiner testified there was no injuries to Kajavia’s internal organs and that he could not determine the manner in which she was killed but did not rule out suffocation.

Wayne County Judge Cynthia Gray Hathaway is presiding over the case. Testimony will resume on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
