(WXYZ) — A 4-year-old child is back home safely after reported missing Thursday.
Within four hours, Tri-City and Metro South troopers were able to locate the Bay City child in the Detroit area.
No word just yet on how the child got to the Detroit area. But the 4-year-old is healthy and has been returned to the mother's custody, according to a tweet from the MSP Bay Region.
Missing 4 yr old, from Bay City, is home safe after some quick work by troopers from Tri-City and Metro South. The child was located in the Detroit area, within 4 hours, following some great investigative teamwork. The child is healthy and back with mom. Great work troops!
