MONROE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police say they seized $40,000 after troopers pulled over an out-of-state driver in Monroe County on Tuesday.
According to police, they pulled the driver over for following too close. During an investigation, they found the money and seized it.
MSP said there was likely a cause for the trooper to seize the money with the intent to forfeit it, and it will go to the prosecutor for review.
The driver was not arrested.
