TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Troy police are investigating a shooting that occurred on the south side of Somerset Collection on Sunday.

Witnesses heard shots fired in the north parking lot of Neiman Marcus and called police.

At the time of the incident, officers were responding to a report of a loud verbal argument between two groups of men that happened inside the mall. Police say it is unknown if the two incidents are related, but the shooting does not appear to be a random attack.

Upon arrival, officers found shell casings on the scene that indicate at least two guns were involved in the shooting. Four vehicles in the parking lot, all unoccupied at the time, were struck by gunfire. There are no known injuries at this time, and the motive for the shooting along with identities of those involved remain under investigation.

Two individuals were arrested near the scene. Their roles in this incident are currently under investigation.

A dark gray, gray or silver SUV with a “boxy” body style, possibly a Dodge Durango, may have been involved in the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Troy Police Department at 248.524.3477.
