A group traveling from New York to compete at Cobo Hall is stranded after someone stole the truck they drove in Sunday.
The group said the truck was stolen from a nearby hotel sometime on Friday night. They traveled to Detroit to compete at the Shell Eco Marathon America's at Cobo Hall, they say.
"It's a red Dodge Ram 2500; it's a big truck," said Sahr Bundor.
Bundor said they ignored the fact they had no way home, and focused on the competition. They accepted a third place win, and will travel to London for the next round.
"We have a couple friends on speed dial waiting to figure out exactly what's going to happen," Bundor said. "Unfortunately, we've been working so hard that we haven't really focused on that."
